wide bay of Meia Praia stretching for kilometres to the Alvor estuary
is one of the few locations where one can see windsurfers achieve real
speed. The breezes that often blow off the Atlantic make the Algarve coastline
ideal for this sport. Boards, advice and tuition, are generally available
in summer at beaches of several of the towns in the Algarve.
